Converting scroll image to vectors

One way would be to use a CAD program such as IMSI Instant Engineer ( VERY inexpensive).

Import the scroll pattern as an image into the work area then plot the individual lines as a point to point bezier line as a transparent overlay (layer).

That will give you individual lines that you can then program as "G" codes for your CAM or as vector points for your laser pantagraph.

DesignCAD and others also offer prgrams that will convert image files to CAD files. You usually have to do a bit of cleanup after importing though.

Either way, I'd estimate a nice scroll pattern like you might on a floorplate to take several hours to convert manualy. But then it's done.
