The dash panel is screwed on from below and under the upper overhang. Up and out over the steering wheel. then you can see the gauges and the screws that hold them. Unscrew the gauge you want and replace the bulb. This all takes about 20 minutes.
The 5th ave has very dim dash lights. I have mine on full and it is still not quite enough. The idiot lights are bright and the ampmeter gauge is working on this car, the needle will show when charging/discharging.
