For the heater core, I'd say go to a junk yard and get a new one. Personally I'd pay a mechanic or find a handy man on Craigslist and give him the core.

for the hoses it's easy, very easy infact. All you need are pliers and a new hose.

First take the old hose off, and make sure you don't lose the clamps.

Take it down to autozone, and they should have the hoses there, if not, then go to Home Depot and see if they carry these hoses. that's why you carry the hoses with you. they must be able to carry the heat too so talk to someone at the store to make sure they do. Once you get the hoses slide the clamp on each side then plug them back in. there will be two hoses, so make sure that both are good before you fill it back up with antifreeze. Otherwise you'll have it all over the inside of your engine.
