remove the 2 plastic covers over steering colum remove 3 screws from under covers some times there one screw on right lower rear of cover hard to see remove tilt steering arm on left side remove the 2 screws they have a torx head on them just connect wire connector
the most common thing is a faulty multifunction switch.
The signal light switch is part of the multifunction switch on the steering column.
On a Ford Taurus : The multifunction switch is INSIDE the steering column cover The turn signal lever and hazard flasher button stick outside of the cover
You have to test the multifunction switch and make sure the wire harness is good. It most likely the multifunction switch.
Inside your steering column , the turn signal lever and hazard flasher button are parts of the multifunction switch that stick out from the steering column
You can switch the traction control system off using the switch to the left of the radio on a 2000 Ford Windstar
Pull the plastic off the column - there are 2 or 3 screws in the bottom of the plastic cover to get it off. You will then have to take the 2 harnesses off the switch and then remove the (4) torx screws that hold it on. Good luck.
