I am trying to figure this out myself. Hopefully someone will come through for us.
Here is a table to show you the switches and how much they're worth... They are from left to right
Switch Cost -------- ------- Switch 1 5 cents Switch 2 10 cents Switch 3 20 cents Switch 4 40 cents Switch 5 80 cents Switch 6 $1.60 Switch 7 $3.20
How do you figure out which switches to turn on? You figure out the right combination of switches to produce the amount you want. Examples:
Pop Price Switches ON ---------- ------------ FREE THIS IS NOT A VALID SELECTION! 10 cents 2 25 cents 1 and 3 50 cents 2 and 4 55 cents 1 and 2 and 4 $1.00 3 and 5 $1.50 2 and 3 and 4 and 5
When you open the door of the vending machine and remove the coin holder you will see a small group of sliding dip switches. Use a small screwdriver or knife to slide the switches until they total the price you want for the soda and replace the coin holder.
Press mode switch 3 times and it will display "COST". (switch behind inner door, press button in the top hole) Press wichever selection # you want to change and it will display the current price. Press and hold the same selection # and the price will increase Press and hold the same selection # again and it will decrease.
The Vendo 407 uses a switch located in the changer unit, behind the coin mechanism. The switch is usually red in color and the switches themselves are usually white. To turn the switches on or off use the end of a ballpoint pen. Up is on and down is off. The switches work as follows: 1= 5 cents; 2= 10 cents; 3= 20 cents; 4= 40 cents; 5= 80 cents 6 = 1.60; 7= 3.20 and 8 = 6.40. The switches must be added up to make the desired combination to set the price. For example, for $0.50, you would have switch 1 and 3 turned to "on" or in the up position.
Go to coinco.com and check out the FAQ's. My model; I removed the cover off of where the coins drop in and there are 6 switches. Turn the switch to the on position and add up the total, that will be your vend amount.
1= $.05

Depends on the soda machine
Vendo was a major manufacturer of soda and candy machines. The Vendo model A23B5K Coca Cola machines are extremely collectable, selling for around 2,500 to 3,200 dollars, depending on condition.
Depending on size and condition, you can realistically expect around $500 for a used soda machine.
You can find used soda machines at a good price from Ebay.
Depends is it single price or Multi Price Machine? Single Price you would set the price in the coin mech. Multi Price you need to get into the mode settings then go from there.
The price of a can or bottle of soda from a vending machine in 1980 was generally in the neighborhood of 25 cents.
It depends on the individual machine, but the average cost of a used soda machine is around $500. Things like candy machines and gumball machines you can buy used for as little as $100.
a pay phone or soda machine
If you have the manuel the password is usually in there. It is normally a number sequence using the selection buttons.
Depends on the size and where you buy it. Convenience store and vending machine, around $2.00 USD but in a mid-priced restaurant around $4.00 USD
