How do you change the timing belt on a Holden JE Camira 2.0L? |
[Edit] |
Answer
The gregory's service manual avaliable at librarys in australia or places like super cheap auto etc have detailed how to change the timing belt.
I recently shaved the head and replaced the head gasket along with the intake and exhaust gasket, and had to remove the timing belt.
-remove the plactic belt cover casing
-the top pully on the cam shaft has a notch which faces directly up, this indicates piston one is at the top
-the crankshaft pully faces to around 2:00 o'clock at a pin indicator on the engine
-take all belts in the way off
- slide the timing belt off, note it has alot of tension
-slide the new one on.
Thats how id do it!
Note the gregory's book may have more usfull advice
