I think the transmission on XK8s are sealed and you cannot add fluid, therefore you do not need to check it.

There is actually a normal fill tube to the transmission, but has a cap on the end instead of a dipstick. You can potentially add fluid but there is no dipstick.
Dipsticks are available (expensive) however. I own a 2002 XKR
PPC2006
There is no fill tube on either the 5HP24 (1996-2002) or 6HP26 (2003-2006) transmissions. They are both "sealed for death". By changing your Transmission Fluid you will prolong the life of the transmission. Jaguar only offered a 50,000 mile warranty, so they stand to benefit if your transmission conks out at 90,000 miles. The car has to be up on a lift (or at least on 4 tall jack stands) to check the fluid level or to add more fluid. Plus, the engine has to be running. You check the fluid level from the fill plug, and the plug is right next to the exhaust pipe which gets very hot. If you turn off the engine during the procedure, about 5 liters of fluid will drain out of the fill plug. Here's a video which shows the process for changing the fluid and pan on a 2003 transmission. The procedure is essentially the same for the 2002 and earlier cars, but there are some slight differences in the transmission internally. If all you care about is checking the fluid level, just skip to the last few minutes of the video.

You can check your 1996 Cadillac Eldorado transmission fluid level with the transmission fluid dipstick. The transmission dipstick will have fluid level indicators at the bottom of the dipstick.
Assuming you have the 4L30E auto trans, There are 2 plugs on the trans pan. one is in the upper corner ,one is in the lower corner. the one in the upper part of the pan is where you check and add your fluid. Haynes manual says to check fluid at normal operating temp. Need to purchase special tool from dealer to check the temp. To add fluid, Haynes manual suggests to use a syringe to add fluid, or take it to a qualified shop and have them do the dirty work for you.
Yes
You add fluid at the same place you check it.
The transmission fluid on a 96 Pontiac Grand Am SE is put into the filler tube on the left side of the engine. It runs directly into the top of the transmission and also contains a dipstick to check fluid levels.
You need to check the transmission gasket between the transmission pan and the body. If it's leaking you have to replace it.
If your 94 Silverado with a 96 Silverado transmission slips out of overdrive when you are on the highway, the gears may have seized up. You should also check the transmission fluid level.
The transmission may not be building up pressure until the fluid warms up. Check the fluid level to make sure that its full, then check the transmission filter as it could be stopped up.
A flashing transmission warning light can indicate a number of transmission problems. The most common problem is low transmission fluid.
You add transmission fluid down the transmission dipstick tube.
Automatic transmission fluid.Automatic transmission fluid.
transmission fluid almost always goes in the dipstick tube
Check the lines for the transmission fluid that run to and from the radiator. It could also be a bad gasket.
If it is an automatic the dipstick is right next to the brake fluid master cylinder reservoir. If it is a stick shift there is not dipstick.
