If this has the 4t100 transmission there is NO dipstick the only way is to have a professional check for you 1. He will unscrew a red plastic cap from the top on the tranny and pour in a quart or so to overfill the transmission 2. Then raise the car on a lift while its running and there is a bolt on the tranny housing by where the RF CV-shaft exits Unbolt it and let it drain when the car is running and fully warmed up and when it comes to a near stop dribbing its full and not overfull any more
There is no dipstick for the transmission. It has a check valve on the side of the pan.

I have a 1999 Grand am se and it dont have a dipstick but it do have a red transmission fluid top on the right side of the 3400 sign that could be unscrewed but it don't have anything on it to check the fluid but you could stick your finger in it to see if its anything in it
