When a pan is coated with teflon, the coating prevents food from sticking to then pan making it easier to clean the pan after use, even when the food is burnt and would otherwise stick to the pan.
The unfortunate reality is that you can't fix it. There is no way to mask or remove that bitter, burnt taste, its always there, no matter what you do. You need to clean the pan very carefully, remove every bit of burnt carbon on the pan, and start over, I'm afraid.
Burnt food in the bottom of a cooking pan is called scorched food.
when there is glass on the floor keep everyone out of the room then get a broom and a dust pan and clean it up make sure you have on shoes
Remove the oil pan from the engine and clean it with kerosene.

glass pan
Glass is sand that has been burnt, idk how it gets tht color tho
you needed water in bottom pan . A empty pan placed on heat can catch fire. The reason the pan stuck to the glass is, the metal pan if left long enough would have melted and turned red hot, on cooling again it stuck to the glass. The idea of a double boiler is to put water in bottom pan and whatever is to be cooked in top pan.
Warm soapy water and a soft, non-abrasive scrubber (softer than the glass/enamel the pan is coated with). Soak it if you need to. Absolutely don't use steel wool.
Not burning, but a melting process.
