How do you clean shower tile and grout?

That's rough, I have used detergent 9000, its an acid ,if you use it wear resporator,if its not that bad you can use a puddy knife, brilo pad ,or a scotch btight pad, always try a small area to see if you are going to damage the tile.

Even though you can use a chemical cleaner to clean your shower tile, I have found that one of the best method for cleaning til and grout is to use a steam cleaner.

Steam cleaners are much faster and easier to use then scrubbing the grout by hand. In addition, they use pressurized steam which allow them to effectively cleaner out the uneven grout surfaces.

Tip: If you just want to maintain the shower tile clean, you can spray it with diluted vinegar just before or after showering. the vinegar will disinfect the tile surfaces and keep mold and mildew from growing.

1. Mix a quarter cup of bleach to about a half gallon of water. Depending on the type of cleaning you have to do, Oxyclean or any of several grout cleaning products at Lowe's will do the job. Tilex or Lysol shower cleaner will do the job, too, but with a harsher chemical that may bleach or stain surrounding surfaces.

2. Use an old toothbrush to scrub the stains (I do it on my hands and knees each grout line scrub individually..it takes a few minutes for the results). Make sure to thoroughly rinse away all cleaning solution residue.

You can use a soft wire wall, ensure it wont scratch the tiles on a spare tile and go round rubbing the dried excess. For the future the best way to apply grout to tile is to make the grout slightly more sloppy and apply it with a sponge, you can then sponge off the excess as you apply it.
