I have alwys had good luck using a water and bleach mixture and spraying it on the bricks. I let it set for about half hour or so then I use a power washer to wash it off. Just dont let the stream of the power washer hit the grout or it can wash it out. Good luck.

∙ 9y agoTo clean black mold spots on bricks, you can apply mildew or mold cleaner to the spots, leave it on a few minutes, and scrub the affected brick areas with a brush. After removing the mold, rinse any cleaner residue away with water hose.

∙ 15y agoBleach kills mold. Tylex works great, but you can mix bleach and water and spray it on the mold in your shower and it'll disappear. I never rinse the bleach until the mold is gone. You may need a couple of applications if the mold is bad.

∙ 15y agoI cleaned mine with a solution of bleach & water....Fill a spray bottle with about a 1/3 of regular ole bleach & the rest w/water and spray the bricks. Let sit for a few hours & it should disolve the mold....If not, just spray the remaining mold again...Works great! It didn't lighten mine....

∙ 15y agoMould doesn't grow on bricks, therefore, there is no way to remove mould from bricks. The discoloration you are observing may be due to a number of various reasons. Until you know why there is discoloration, you won't know what it is, and therefore you won't know the most appropriate way to remove it or prevent it.

Brick and concrete in areas with daily shadowing will often acquire mold or algae through the fall and winter season. Older surfaces also tend to be more porous from age and wear. This only encourages grime to build up more quickly.
Good thing, this can be cleaned up quickly with just water and the correct pressure washing technique. Unfortunately, these older and more porous surfaces can also be damaged by the wrong tip or technique more quickly.
