Bleach kills mold instantly. Try a cleaner with bleach and scrub with a brush. Pour bleach into the bowl and let it sit. Then scrub as usual. If your problem is also with rust in the bowl, nothing I have found works better than Iron Out. You can purchase this in most grocery stores and department stores. I have seen it work on toliets that would simply not come clean with any other product.
In most cases, it is not possible or desirable to sterilize an area; a background level of mold spores will remain - these spores will not grow if the moisture problem has been resolved. If you choose to use disinfectants or biocides, always ventilate the area and exhaust the air to the outdoors. Never mix chlorine bleach solution with other cleaning solutions or detergents that contain ammonia because toxic fumes could be produced.

∙ 15y agoI have searched the internet to find a good answer for this, and I have tried most of the suggestions (CLR, scrubbing with PUMICE stone, ZEP). I went to a hardware store, and they told me to buy a product called SIZZLE. It is basically Hydrochloric acid that IMMEDIATELY eats away the hard water deposits (that's what the ring is, by the way, and CLR is not powerful enough to dissolve it). You pour the sizzle into the overflow tube inside your toilet tank (the tube sticking out of the water), and it will flow down inside the bowl. It will dissolve anything in there, and leave the porcelain or ceramic looking brand new. It also cleans the water holes at the top of the bowl, and makes the toilet flush as good as new. Make sure you wear gloves and goggles, as it is a strong acid. After you pour it in, it will sizzle and smoke (hence the name) - so make sure you open a window, and try not to breathe in too many of the fumes. Let the acid sit in the bowl for about 5 minutes, and flush. Then take out the toilet brush and give a quick swish, and you're good to go. I hope this helps you, I know it helped me.

Sound like you have a clogged toilet and or a clog in your main drain under your toilet. Shut off water supply to toilet remove water from toilet tank.
