Semen stains usually dry clear or creamy in appearance. Shampooing your carpet (steam cleaning) should get it out. If you don't want to do that then go to a hardware store and ask them what their best carpet spot cleaner is. I use "Zep", but live in Canada and I buy it at Home Depot. If you have a Home Depot near you (I think it's an American company) then get that one.
