Silver polish and a lot of rubbing. Sometimes you can put a little TSP in a glass or plastic bowl (not metal), add a sheet of aluminum foil then put a couple pieces of silver on top, in direct contact with the aluminum foil . It will take a few minutes, but it might help with the tarnish.

Tis sad, if you have rust your silver plating is gone sour. There is a rust remover available at your local supermarket used for bathtubs. I forgot the name. Now you have to learn how to replate it or take it to a professional to replate the damaged areas.

You have several choices: a silver cleaning rag, a bottle of silver cleaner from Walmart, or go online and order silvercleaner tray to put your silver in.
