My secret was three basic things:
- Make the Bed
- Nothing on the Floor (Bonus points for dirty clothes to the laundry room!)
- Closet door and drawers closed
I've told my daughters for years that takes care of 80% of what annoys mothers. They still don't get it!
From that point, organizing the top of the desk and dresser and then bookshelves, anything that can be 'seen.' Then move to the hidden stuff and clean out the desk, dresser drawers and closets.
