Most of the time it won't unless the managers or owner ran a credit check before you moved in, if so it would be listed as "public record" on your credit report because they had to file an eviction notice at the courthouse in order to get you out.

AnswerThe actual eviction does not show up in the body of a credit bureau credit report. If a judgment for nonpayment is granted for unpaid rent or other cause, that judgment appears on the credit report under public records. The actual eviction will not. However, most landlords now use third party agencies to obtain the credit bureau credit information and combine it with court records(public information about filings, not just judgments.) Those 3rd party reports often include followup with former landlords. Thus the disclosure of evictions.

Other than paying up and having an additional statement put in there that the account is paid, it is going to be on your report for some time. The eviction will remain on the real estate listing of renter history.

Depends upon what reasons the person is being evicted for:

Not paying rent, disturbing neighbors, damaging property, not obeying the property rules & regulations, etc etc. Certainly none of those would hurt your credit rating for the rest of your life. Not paying rent on time will possibly make it harder to rent somewhere else, but shouldn't have any great longterm effect on your credit status.

Generally speaking, a tenant who has an eviction judgment on their credit record is subject to his or her particular state law regarding how long that judgment can legally appear as a public record and show on their credit record. Some states limit that time to seven years, others ten. The answer to this question is as as folows; a tenant who has an eviction judgment (on their credit report) typically will go back to the landlord or attorney who handled the original eviction case and ask for some sort of settlement that would include filing a satisfaction a judgment or better yet, entering into a stipulation that would set aside the eviction judgment and dismiss the eviction case in its entirety. Both the landlord and tenant, or assignee, could do this but it is most likely done when the former tenant offers a financial settlement to the former landlord to have this eviction judgment removed from their credit record. Some former tenants offer half of what they owe or what the judgment states, still others try to get away with offering as little as 10% of the original judgment amounts, including any interest accrued. The point here is that the landlord and tenant can negotiate the terms of any settlement, which almost always would include a monetary amount paid by the tenant, and any filing of a satisfaction a judgment by the landlord. The problem with the satisfaction of judgment course, is that the eviction judgment stays on the tenant's credit record and shows a satisfaction, however, it would be far better for the tenant to pursue a settlement where the actual judgment is set aside and the original case is dismissed. That way the judgment should not show at all on a tenant credit record. A "win win" for both the landlord and tenant.

Generally speaking, you can't. An eviction will stay on your record forever, but falls off of your credit report after seven years. If you feel the judgment is in error you can dispute it with the County Clerk's office or prothonotary of the county in which that record is located

You can't clear it completely. Court never dispose of their records. If there is a monetary judgment against you, you can get that amended to zero after you pay the plaintiff.
