Despite popular misconceptions, most AR 15 type rifles cannot be converted to full auto without major modifications, re-machining the receiver, and replacing several parts. It is also a major Federal crime to do so without the proper licences, and possession of an unregistered machinegun in the US is punishable by 10 years in prison. Not a good thought.
