Take the current Central Time and add six hours to it and you will have the Greenwich Mean Time.

For example: if the current Central Time is say 9 am, then if I add six hours to that I find that Greenwich Mean Time is 3 pm.

Or in reverse take the current Greenwich Mean Time and subtract six hours from it and you will have the Central Time.

For example: if the current Greenwich Mean Time is 3 pm the I deduct six hours to find the Central Time to be 9 am.

Any questions? Thanks for asking.

Military time runs on a 24 hour clock, starting just after midnight. 1 minute past midnight = Military 0001: 2 AM = 0200 Military Time; 5 AM = 0500 Military Time; 11 AM = 1100 Military; noon = 1200 Military; 1 PM = 1300; 1 :30 PM = 1330; 2 PM = 1400; 3 PM = 1500; 5 PM = 1700; 6 PM = 1800; 7 PM = 1900; 10 PM = 2200; 10:30 PM = 2230; 11 PM = 2300; 11:45 PM = 2345; 11:59 PM = 23:59. Enough examples? Military time is always the same as local time, but expressed differently. You can follow the examples above to convert local time to military and military time to local time. Now, if you want to talk about GMT, then that is a whole different question!
