This really depends on which model of Turtle Beach Headphones you are using. Most models that can be used with an iPod will require an RCA to 3.5 mm headphone adapter (in which case the RCA end is female and the headphone end is male) and a source of USB power.
Since they require a power source most Turtle Beach headphones may not be convenient enough for use with an iPod, especially when on the go. A separate pair of headphones for gaming and for the iPod is likely to be more appropriate.
I do not believe so. I tried using a headphones splitter with a mic, and just regular headphones. it did not work. also the mic just by itself didnt work. Although, you can listen to music on your ipod! i have a turtle beach x1 earforce, and 2g ipod touch. it might be different with other ipod/ headphone models! :D
If you buy an iPod, headphones will be supplied with it.
I have turtle beach px21 and you can as long as your just relaxing at home mine is set up with USB along with typical head phone jack the USB powers my headset then other for sound so it depends on what model you have and if there self powered or not mine aren't mines also for pc Mac ps3 and xbox 360
