In Notepad or Wordpad type 3BB then ALT-X . The λ sign should pop up, which you can copy and paste into Word.
This does not work in Windows Notepad it only works in Wordpad and do not use an "X". Use an "x". You can use lower case "b". So it would be 3bbAlt+x.

(not the Greeks 500bc but hundreds of years before 500bc. lambda symbol used also when they were building gates. the lambda symbolises the (biological) source of the Greek's witch is from the Nephelims called "the twelve gods". lambda also presents the gene that is different in Greek's than other group of people..
