Sometimes we cannot control the behaviors and actions of an individual, but if he has transgressed the law- causing you harm either by mentally traumatizing you or harassing you, this can be reported to the police.

You may also pretend what he says is all false. Unless you have already admitted it, which then ignoring him would be your next course of action. And also, do not be seen with such a person again.
