This happens to most siblings and the older sibling wants some privacy and a life of there own. Try to understand that just because your sister is annoying she may well look up to you and obviously loves you. If you are a sister then try taking time out to perhaps do a little make-up on her and do her hair (just for the fun of it) or take her to a movie every so often. Explain to her that sometimes you need to be left alone so you have some privacy. By verbally fighting or letting her know she's annoying may hurt her. You're older and smarter, so give your little sister a bit of quality time with you. Be careful what you say to loved ones, because you never know what life has to dish out and one day there could be a possibility that a loved one may not be there any longer and you can't take those unkind words back.
I know exactly what you mean because my brother is 6 1/2 years younger than me. He was a constant pain to me, but I always had a soft spot for him, so I started to spend a little more time with him by taking him to the Fair, movies or the soda shop. We are adults now, but he often talks about all the fond memories we've had and thanked me for taking the time to be with him. When we are young we find our younger siblings annoying, but let your heart lead you, spend a little quality time with them and let them know we are there for them. You won't regret it!

∙ 8y agoThe best thing you can do is to try to be patient. If she is mean to you, tell her that it hurts you and that you want to get along with her. If she ignores you, give her space, and she will likely come around.

∙ 14y agoI am the youngest of three sisters and honestly theres not much you can do to keep them out of your biz for long. They will find away to annoy all day long but they can't help to want to hang out with big sis, they will mature sooner than ya think. Also they like to mimic everything you do and are interested in. Be creative and find ways to outwise them without hearing the pouts.

∙ 9y agoThe best way to cope with a sibling that is annoying is to not feed into them. Do not fight with them, or yell back, just ignore them and they will go away. Honestly they want to get a rise out of you, so don't let them.
