First, go to the mailbox you want to delete emails from. Then click edit on the top right corner of the screen. Next, click the white dot that appears on the left of the email and when it's check-marked, click on move at the bottom Aof the screen. Then select the trash box. After that click on the mailbox button on the top left corner to go back to the mailbox screen. Then click on the trash mailbox, then click on edit on the top right corner. Then click either on delete all button to delete all or click on white dot next to email u want to delete and click delete button on bottom left! I know that this long, but it works.
Select edit, then tick all the emails one by one then hit delete that will be them deleted. Depending on your network settings for email they may not be deleted from the host server. You can tick that option under email settings on your iPhone but some email providers have not changed and you need to ensure that this facility is enabled at their ended by going into the email settings on your email servers site.
I just figured this out by myself, so I wanted to share it with everybody, that's why I posted this question and I am now answering it. THIS WORKS WITHOUT JAILBREAKING!!!!!!!
1. Go to the mailbox that you want to delete all the emails from.
2. Hit "Edit" in the top right corner.
NOW YOU NEED TO LISTEN VERY CAREFULLY!
3. Tap ONE message. Not a chain of messages. ONE message.
4. LISTEN EXTREMELY CAREFULLY! Hit ALL three buttons at the bottom at the SAME TIME. (Delete, Move, Mark, are the buttons)
5. While STILL holding down on the buttons tap the message you clicked before to make it white again.
6. Let go of ALL the buttons.
7. Now, check to make sure at the top it says "Move these messages to a new mailbox."
8. If it does, continue to Step 9. If it doesn't, start over.
9. Hit "Trash" (Mine usually crashes after this step)
10. Go to "Trash"
11. Hit "Edit"
12. Hit "Delete"
13. Hit "Delete All"
14. Voila! They're gone.
Open the Settings app. Go into the Mail sub system. Tap on the mail account you want to delete. Scroll to the bottom of the page and tap "Delete Account"
Remove all your personal setting together with all emails and delete the account from your iPod Touch.
