- You can take it to your cellular provider and explain to them that you think its been tampered with and have them restore it to factory settings. Be sure they do not back up your cell phone. This means you will loose all your applications, numbers, data, ect.
- If it's an Iphone restore it without backing it up and restore to the latest firmware because once you change the baseband the spyware will be deleted.
- Purchase an anti spyware software such as f-secure.
Be sure you report this to the police and keep a copy of the police report! Mail it to the person you think added the spyware. Make the police dept. assist you and give you a report. It can be hard as you really have no proof because it's all undectable. But make them assist you. Don't leave until they help you. That's what I had to do!
Note:
Be sure you turn off your bluetooth feature when your in the presence of someone that you think may have the capability to add spyware to your cell!

∙ 14y agoIf you have Spy Software installed on your phone the only way to be sure to get rid of it is to perform a Hard Factory reset.
Even if you know where to find out where it is installed, it can continue to work if you try to remove it through your application manager.

∙ 12y agoAll anti cell-phone spyware isn't the way to go. If you have internet on it, it can't block it.
However, if you don't have internet on it, the anti-spyware -MAY- help, but in 50% of the cases where spyware was used on the cellphone, the anti-spyware couldn't detect it/ block it. The only way to really block hacking signals from your cell-phone, is to block off all signalls. There are aluminum wallets now adays... I'd get one of 'em, remove the chip from my cell-phone, and put the chip in the wallet. Don't know how much they cost, though, but i think it's cheap... -Tristan Nayana.
