Pull the fuse.
snip the wire going to the alarm.
Why, are you going to steal one?
I have always had a problem with my alarm going off for no reason so I always turn it off when I lock the doors by turning the key (in the door) twice to the right and once to the left.
The most common cause is that the rechargeable battery in the alarm siren is failing, giving a low voltage to the alarm system. When the voltage from he battery drops below a certain level the alarm system thinks someone is trying to disable the alarm by disconnecting the battery. As it thinks someone is trying to disable the alarm, it sets the alarm off.
NO is the simple answer, due to the nature of the system and the reason for its existence it is difficult if not impossible to disable. any attempt to disable it may render the car undrivable. robbAnswerNO is the simple answer, due to the nature of the system and the reason for its existence it is difficult if not impossible to disable. any attempt to disable it may render the car undrivable. robb the siren itself is self powered, if it keeps going off it may require replacement.
rry, not going to get an answer because the answer could help a car theif.
While it is possible to disable the alarm by going into the wiring of the vehicle, there areÊsimpler ways. You can purchase seat belt extenders and simply cut the ends off, or you could just buckle the seat belt before you sit in the seat.
this problem is related to the door ajar switch which is connected to the latch. spray wd-40 into the latch and it should go away.
manualy unlock the passenger door with your door key, while the alarm is going off.it may take a few trys but it will work. the car wont start after alarm going off, do i need a new battery or can i just turn off the alarm and the car is a 1994 Chrysler lhs
Starting the car with the key will typically disable the alarm. This happened with my '08, and the car won't start while the alarm is going off. I'm told to switch the car to on/then off position 3 times to deactivate it.
It has something to do with your alarm 'accentuator' - contact Toyota about this since it might be a recalled item.
If the alarm is currently sounding, you can shut it off by using the key to lock and unlock the door. To permenently disable it, locate the alarm (I believe it is under the passanger side dashboard) and unplug it. They do have a reputation of going bad and causing a dead battery.
