Some may recommend disconnecting the car's battery, but it is not necessary.
There is a small hole on the underside of the steering wheel.
Take a flat head screw driver and insert it with the flat part facing left/right. Not front/back, or toward you.
If done properly, you will push a wire up, which releases the face of the steering wheel/air bag.
Sometimes only one side is released. Push it back in, and try again if it both sides don't pop out.
Don't strain the wires behind.
Carefully lift the face/airbag out of the way, and disconnect wires.
