Answer:
First off, when you swim, stay safe! Make sure that you can dive into a pool, because if it's not deep enough, you could get seriously hurt. Diving is simple, once you get the hang of it! At a community pool, even a regular pool, there might be a diving board, even some different levels of diving boards. START FROM THE BOTTOM! DO NOT GO STRAIGHT TO THE TOP! Start on the outside of the pool.
1. Straighten up.
2. Plant your feet next to each other, it helps!
3. Put your arms in front of you, hands down.
4. Then turn your palms towards each other.
5. Raise your arms above your head and let your palms touch.
6. Keep your elbows as straight as you can.
7. Prepare your legs to jump.
8. Jump! Use force!!! But not too much!!!
9. As you jump tilt your head and arms towards the water.
10. Feet touch the water last.
TIPS
-Do not separate your palms as you or when you touch the water.
-Do not be afraid to go deep. Breathe through your mouth, when you're ready through your nose.
-Once you are fully under water do a couple of strokes toward the surface by bringing your arms to your sides and bringing them over your head again.
-When diving into shallow water it's most important to know just how shallow the water is. Also, diving into creeks, rivers, and so on, where the water isn't clear, it's vital to make sure first that there's othing out of sight under the surface that you could hit - rocks, tree branches, and so on.
Every year, far too many people - usually young - are killed or very seriously injured by hitting their heads on submerged hazards when they dive. Brain injuries or paralysis is too high a price to pay for not checking the water first!
