How do you do a split-leap?

First, decide on which leg to be the front leg for your final split in the air. In this example it'll be the right (R) leg.
  • The preparation for the leap is running forward, or a chase. Which is vary similiar to a gallop. Then step on the left leg to take off (jump). Make sure you get a deep plie (bend your knees) To give you the height you need to get a split.
  • Now your going to jump out of you plie and flick your right leg forward and left leg back with all your strength. But dont kick so hard that your body starts to tilt in the air.
