How do you get your webcam to work with Yahoo Messenger for Mac?

Install BTV and your mac's inbuilt webcam should start working with Yahoo messenger.

If you have a USB webcam, you probably need to download and install a third-party driver to make it work. There are some free ones out there. Do a search for: Macintosh webcam driver. The description should give you list of supported cameras.
If you need a quick, easy and reliable solution buy the software. I've had great luck with drivers from these people: ioxperts and ecamm
Installing a webcam driver should allow you to use other programs that use cameras too! Like iChat.
If you have a firewire webcam it should be plug-and-play. Just look for your video settings in Yahoo Messenger and choose it from the drop down menu.

∙ 14y agoThe Mac version of Messenger does not support webcams although this is promised for later versions. There are alternatives such as Adium or aMSN which may be of interest. (See links below)
I have a Mac, but i didn't download msn, it takes up too memory, so I use meebo You can sign on to msn there, and play games, send files and go on webcam, even with people that cant go on msn, also there is eBuddy, but i think meebo, is much better :)
