Normally, even without the driver, your computer should recognise the camera as an external storage drive and assign it a drive letter, just like a hard disk or CD drive.
If you are usng windows XP, try this:
- Go to control panel and double click the System icon.
- On the Sytem applet, click Hardware tab.
- Click on the Device Manager button.
- In the Device Manager window, look for any yellow icons with exclamation marks.
- If you find such an icon, right click and select Uninstall to remove the offending driver.
- Then re-install the original driver that came with your Camera. Remember to connect the camera to the PC only AFTER installing the drivers, or when prompted by the software.
