I guess you are talking about how to prepare the crab, for eating it. Here is the answer.
First cut off the legs. Now crack the main body, by lightly tapping at the centre. Slowy shell the body. Cut off the eyes, feather shaped gills and a few other parts that you find not worthy to be cooked. Split the inner body in half. Scoop out the fat inside the body. Keep aside. Trim out the narrow ends of the thin legs. Crack the thicker legs a little.Wash the shelled crab body and legs. Smear the crab with 1 tsp salt and 1 tsp turmeric and keep to drain on a colander.
Heat 4 tsp of oil (sunflower or mustard) in a wok. When oil smokes shift in the crabs. Fry for 4-5 minutes on medium flame. Shift the fried crabs on a plate. Heat 5 tsp of oil in the same wok. When oil smokes fry 4 tbsp of onion paste, 1 tsp garlic paste,1 tsp of ginger paste and 1 tsp of cumin powder. Add 1 chopped tomato and the fat kept aside. Fry all till brown. Add 1 cup of water. When it starts to boil add the fried crabs. Stir till the gravy dries up and clings to the crab.Shut off the heat. your crab is ready to eat.
You have to shell the crab and scoop out the flesh in your own style when eating.
