To improve/edit answers on WikiAnswers:
- Log into your account. Or sign up if you don't have one
- Go to the question with the answer you wish to edit
- Either click "Improve" in the top right or "Improve Answer" at the bottom
Additional Information:
- You should only edit answers if you are adding additional information to the existing answer, updating the answer, correcting the answer or improving grammar.
- If you edit an answer but do NOT add any additional information (ie - editing only to correct spelling), you should always tick the 'Minor Edit' box, which is found on the right-hand side while editing answers.
- Sometimes answers are locked by Supervisors. This is usually for legal reasons or because the answer is constantly vandalised, blanked or unnecessarily edited. If you feel a locked question should be unlocked, either send a message to the Supervisor who locked it or an email to: reopen@answers.com, stating the reasons why it should be unlocked and what additional information you plan to add.

You may want to ask this on Yahoo Answers (or better yet stay here and ask and answer questions on WikiAnswers instead of Yahoo Answers :-) I would guess that since you are the one who wrote the answer Yahoo is giving you the ability to edit or delete it, but is not giving you the ability to edit or delete other people's answers.

In order to edit, you need to be signed in and have a (totally free) account - otherwise, you can't edit the questions or answers.

Why won't Wikianswers let you delete bad answers anymore?
You absolutely can remove and edit bad answers. To remove, click on "Revert" in the left hand toolbar. To edit, simply click in the box where it says "Improve this answer", and add your contribution. When it's complete, click on "Update Answer." New and somewhat new users sometimes are not able to edit answers that do not appear to be bad answers. You can modify your ability to edit answers by contributing several good answers to questions and build up your Answers.com "reputation." If you answer and ask questions for the next two weeks and still cannot edit an answer, please let us know. If you would like a question edited immediately, you may send us the edit and we will make those changes! If an answer has been posted by an expert, or is no longer accepting answers (is considered "complete"), the answer is locked. To submit an edit, you can contact us with your edits.
