you must download iTunes onto your computer from www.apple.com/itunes, and then install it. when done plug your iPod in to your usb port on your computer with the 30 pin cable. it should show up in itunes under the device list, and from there you can manage your ipod and add/remove songs/photos/videos/etc from it.
