How do you explain the chemical reaction of baking soda and vinegar to kids?

Answer:
Baking soda and vinegar are both made of many small little pieces. When you mix these two, the pieces dance and become one, something new, that is different than either baking soda or vinegar. The new thing is air and the air is trapped in the bubbles
