How do you fast rank in special force?

I cannot speak for the US Army as although I have worked alongside them as a British military officer, I never discussed the subject. In the UK we call it 'fast tracking'.

The simple answer is, you can't, unless you have demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities and then usually only in real combat situations, not exercises.

In the British Army it is not possible to graduate from Sandhurst and then immediately apply for 'selection'. You are required to serve in a 'normal' military unit for at least two years before applying. Members of the Royal Marines (who actually usually go for the SBS, not the SAS) and very occasionally, RAF candidates are also free to attempt.

Very few British Army officers make a career out of the SAS. In a lot of cases it actually ends up being a detrimentto their military careers for a number of reasons, some of which may include the politics of envy and others the 'alternative approach' to discipline engendered by the time they have served in special forces.

Many more 'other ranks' (non commissioned soldiers) domake careers out of serving with the 'elite', but as the standards are continually physically so demanding, their days are numbered, much like a professional athlete's.

If you asked this question because you wanted to try and join an elite group, you must first ask yourself 'why'? If you simply want adventure, or worse, get a 'licence to kill' then it's not for you. Believe me, it's 99% boredom (although staying super fit and up to date in all matters pertaining to active service can be very enjoyable), followed by 1% of abject frenzy and adrenaline rushes.

Just in case anyone was wondering, I was not in any SF organisation at any time. I just had the privilege of working with them.
