How do you find out when an inmate is being released?

Since it depends on the state you live in and the offense you should search this to get a more accurate website. Type in locate an inmate and it will give you states select you state. The next page usually is a search engine you can most times just type in the inmates last name. Click on their name and it gives you all the info. At the bottom it will tell you parole info with specfic dates and you can pretty much tell from there in the case that it says no info is available it will tell you the info on the facility that they are in just call them and ask they have to tell you because its public information.

Be aware that some states like California do not publish inmate info on line, and you must call or write for this or other inmate information.

Sometimes this information can be found online. Most state department of corrections and some county jails provide online inmate databases where records can be searched by inmate name.

Custody status and offender information is also provided by VINE (Victim Information and Notification Everyday). This victim notification service also allows you to register to received notification by phone or email.

If no online database is available, records requests can be made in person, by phone, or by mail.

You can contact the Inmate Information office of any states' DOC. Many have on line inmate locator services that take you an information page on the inmates searched. On this page should appear a projected release date.

Some DOC's do not provide this information on line, such as California. Calls must be made for these states.
