The only place that I have been able to find for repossession jobs is repomanjobs.com. I posted my resume a couple of weeks ago and just found a job recently. They're pretty good on answering questions and providing support. Other than that, I have no idea where to find repossession companies for repo man jobs. Hope this helps.

Its a job of opportunity, meaning you have to be there when the car is available for a SAFE AND PEACEFUL recovery. When places have garages and such, you have to be able to go up talk to these people professionally and respectfully. Repo agents do make good money if you are working for a good reputable company. If you are a lazy butt, and just drive around form 9 to 5, and expect a car to just jump out at you with flashers on, you will not make money. The real job is long boring hours, and all ways at night and on the week ends. Forget about making big money, as a employee. The guy who owns the company is the one who has invested HIS money in equipment, and contracts with the banks and loan companies, plus computers and office equipment and of course a secure yard and building.

If you want to make good money, with out working at night or on the weekends, learn to be a SKIP TRACER, the guy who finds the debtors who are being sought by the lenders. Paid for successful locations found, and no nobody is trying to shoot you.

AnswerI own a repo company in SC and we handle repossessions in NC and SC. I personally try to hire by word of mouth. If I hear about someone looking for work and I know that person has a clean criminal record, good driving record, will listen to instruction and not try to be a know it all cowboy, I usually approach them. People that call me and ask "are you hiring" I usually figure my competition put them up to doing that to find out who my clients are or how things work inside my company. Best thing to do is either go face to face to the local repo companies or find someone who works for one and get to know him/her. Eventually if you are straight up someone will recommend you. Remember, we carry millions in insurance and cannot afford some idiot that is going to get out insurance canceled, get us sued, cost us a 100K/year client, etc. There is a reason that smart repo companies are careful who they hire.

You need to have prior towing experiance. You need to be well versed in all facits of towing. You can not have any felonies and must have a clean driving record. Then you need some one to teach you all the rules and regulations in your state. This is a stressfull and highly conflictive job. Make sure you are being rightfully compensated for the risks you are taking.
