savage arms purchased the a.h.fox company in 1929 and continued to manufacture the doubles for several years untill sales of the new "autos" out performed the venerable side by sides and the line was dropped in the late sixties to only a very few models. with model numbers and markings we can get a little closer to what you have and it's approximate value. bc
