well if the dog, has a penis, then its a boy, if it doesn't then its a girl.
sometimes the boys have dots near their penis that looks like the girls parts, but idk about that, but point is:
penis = boy
no penis = girl
This remind's me of a joke. A father took his children to a garage sale one morning, when they got home mum asked what did they see there, one child replied puppies, their mother asked were they male or female, the child replied their were 2 males and 1 female, how did you know that mum asked, the child replied, dad kept picking them and looking under their belly i supposed it must have printed there.

They charge a little more but since it's a Medical Imaging Facility, they offer higher powered sonogram machines and better medically trained personnel that can more accurately determine the sex before 20 weeks. Another perk is that they forward a copy of the imaging to your OB for his/her review. I paid about $150 (in Los Angeles) when I elected to have this done and it was money well spent for an inpatient person such as myself!
Your doctor can do a sonogram in the 4th or 5th month, I think, and if the baby is in a good position (sex parts visible), they can tell you if it's a boy or a girl. You can have an ultrasound or amniocentesis can be performed although it does involve risks.
