On my Golf it's behind a panel in the centre consol, right at the bottom
You have to give it a damned hard pull
ynyqi have the same thing happening to my 2003 passat. did you find any reason why this occurs?
Hi, Not sure about the 00 model - most OBD2 plugs are close to the central ashtray. However on my 2003 Seat Ibiza the OBD2 plug is on the left side of the car - below the steering wheel on the left is a tiny glove compartment. Remove that compartment and behind it you'll find the plug. Took me 30 minutes to find! Blaise
the fuse panel is on the end of drivers side dash. remove the panel, there should be a card inside
can anyone tell me where to find the OBD2 plug in on a 1999 cougar?

Have the same problem - 2000 Passat - they tell me it is the coils are the issue - will find out
There is a problem with the Anti-locking brake system. You will need a OBD2 engine scanner to find out what is wrong with it. Have engine scanned. Will need to go into ABS mode with the scanner to get the codes.
There is no transmission dipstick on automatic or manual transmission Passats. The automatic (tiptronic) transmissions have a "lifetime" fluid that can generally only be changed by the dealer.
The 2002 Volkswagon Passat OBD 2 port is under dash at left side

The model year, the condition of the vehicle and the location you wish to find your Passat can all have an effect on the price. A Passat can be found for as little as 12,000 in Washington DC, or as much as 25,000 in Palm Beach, FL.
