How do you find the percentage of two numbers?

Answer:
A good example of this is like a test score. For example you get 47 out of 48 on your math test and want to figure out what percent that is so you can show off to your buddies in your class. You simply take 47 and divide by 48 and multiply by 100. Like this:
(47/48) x 100 = 97.91666666666666666.... % or rounded as 97.92%
A general way to think about this is take the amount you have, and divide it by the total amount, and then multiply by 100.
