you can usually fishtail any hair, but to make it look good on short hair, consider doing, what i call, a french fishtail. its like a french braid but instead of braiding it normally, braid like a fish tail. braiding it when its damp might help keep the fly-aways together and make sure to use hairspray. it might take a few tries to get it to look good, but it'll be worth the time when all your friends will be jealous! ;)
