What are common problems with 1990 Mercedes 190e?
power window regulators and their corresponding switches, eha(electrohydraulic fuel pressure acctuator), o2 sensors, cruise control modules, fuel pump relay(easy fix, don't buy), rear ends have been known to fail(severe negligence/abuse), hmmmm, climate control vaccuum lines pop off behind dash(bastered to fix), wiper motors can fail but rare, fuel pressure regulator, fuel distributors go if you run high sulfur content gas(run premium only!), ball joints have been known to pop out(severe negligence), fuel needle sticks(rare), odm fails at 242k(rare), speedo head fails(rare),sending unit from tank(twice for me, two different cars) i have owned a few 190e's and i will not buy any other car unless its another 190e. all these little inequities are miniscule in comparison to how long these cars last, the highest clock on my odm of an 89 190e was 637k with the 2.3l, then it was written off when i got hit by a drunk! it ran like a top and was rock solid very little rust. my current one has 248k and is like new condition, literally. the key is to keep up the maintenance and these cars will still do 200 kph with half a million on the clock, with reasonable efficiency and performance. too bad they don't make them like this anymore. i blame Chrysler...
