sounds like you need to put some powder graphite on the accelarator cable. You can pick some up at your local auto parts store
replace throttle cable,throttle cable is more than likely worn somewhere causing it to stick

∙ 12y agoHit your hazard lights, shut the engine off, then turn the key back to auxiliary or on so the steering wheel does not lock. If you shut the engine off immediately you will stop in about a hundred feet (more or less depending on speed). Forget the put it in neutral bullcrap it will just blow up the engine not to mention if the gas is down all the way you won't be able to put an automatic in neutral very easily.
