How do you remove Hunter Douglas blinds from brackets?

There are replacement parts available at a Walmart, Target style of store. You can salvage the wand itself as it is usually the small plastic clip (at the top) that breaks. The replacement clips come in a package with several more than you need for the job, yet they are still inexpensive. Good Luck!

You have to first remove the valance from the blind, then you will see brackets that are holding your blind in place. You will need to lift up the little door on the bracket, once those are lifted you should be able to slide the blind out of the brackets. Hope this helps!

well first u get this thing called a screw driver and undo the screws.. or you go to venetian blind taking down lessons. they're cheap and effective. i recommend them

Look at the top corners of your venetian blind. You will see a bracket on each end. The front of the bracket should fold down towards you and you can slip the blind out. If you want to permenantly remove the blind, look inside the brackets and remove the screws.

What you will need to do is un-string the blinds to remove the damaged slat, and then restring the blinds with a new slat. Restringing is fairly simple. You just have to thread the cord back through the holes and tie a knot at the end to hold your blinds in place.

Another common problem of mini blinds is the tilt mechanism. You can replace the tilt mechanism with a new one.
