It unlocks things by sending out a high frequency sound that can brake or unlock locks, using this high frequency sound it can also break glass and lights. It might also send a magnetic wave that is able to destroy or turn on and off electric devices. None of these can damage organisms.

The sound north of Victoria Island is Viscount Melville Sound.
sound is created by sound waves due to friction. soundwaves are just waves until an eardrun , etc receives it. sound is also created by air particles. so if there was no air then no sound
A sound system works by converting sound waves into electrical energy. The electrical energy is then converted back into solid energy that results in sound.
yes
You can't, the sonic screwdriver isn't an actual screwdriver. It's a sonic alien one. ;) On the show, the sonic screwdriver is basically a torch and makes no sound, they add the sound in later while editing.
Well i have both of them so i can tell you the features: 10th Sonic Screwdriver - Very small and lights up as a torch and has sound. 11th Sonic Screwdriver - It expands, has sound, lights up like a torch, bigger than 10th Sonic Screwdriver. So in my opinion the 11th Sonic Screwdriver but its still up to you as isn't my choice
yes, they sound like a crab committing suicide
To take the 11th Doctor's sonic screwdriver apart, you will need to carefully unscrew the end cap and remove the internal components. Once inside, locate the sound module and check for any loose connections or damage. You may need to repair or replace the sound module to fix the sound issue. Be sure to reassemble the sonic screwdriver carefully to avoid damaging any parts.
Tap the Red button at the bottom 3/4 Times Quickly should make a sort of Beeping noise (Warning Try not to use that sound as It Damages the sound systems of your Sonic)
There aren't actual sonic screwdrivers that work like the Doctor's do, but on the BBC America website there are sonic screwdriver pens that are really fun. I have one, and they have this secret message pen tip, and a UV light that you press a button for and it makes the whirr of the actual screwdriver and it shows the secret message written. It's fun coz my friend has one too and you can turn the sound off, and you can pass them in class. HAHA nerds...
This is the same for any version of Sonic the Hedgehog 2. The sound test is in the options menu.
