Don't use DOS for large hard drives. Don't use Computer Management either.
Use:

Download and run as instructed.
This will format a drive of any size in one (or more if desired) partition. Remember that files larger that 4GB will not be recognised in FAT32 format. So break larger files up.
I ran mine in 'quick format' and it did it in seconds (otherwise it takes hours). Works perfectly.
Hope this helps.
1. Connect the USB flash drive to the USB port of the computer.
2. Close all applications and open "My Computer".
3. Under 'My Computer', identify your flash drive and right click on it (EG: Removable Disk (F:)) and select "Format".
4. Format it as "FAT32" and use allocation size as default. Uncheck quick format and select START.
yes make sure the usb pen is set on fat32 format.
You have to format the flash drive so it is compatible with the ps3 You can not add some files using the USB drive If they are games and add ons they must come from the Playstation store Maybe if you were intelligent, you would have stated what format the flash drive should be in....it is FAT32
If it's not formatted FAT32 already, you will have to format it to FAT32 which erases the data on the drive.
of course you can
FAT32 and NTFS
format
Well A mac uses fat32 which is used by flash drives
Good Day, To reformat a Memorex Travel Drive, simply open Computer Management by right-clicking the My Computer icon and choosing Manager. Go to Disk Management while your Travel Drive is plugged into a USB port. Next select your USB disk by scrolling up and down the list of drives. Be careful to only select the USB drive by verifying its capacity. You will then need to right-click the USB drive and choose Partition. Be sure to specify the correct size allocation. You will finally be able to format the drive after you first partition it. I formated my Travel Drive under FAT32, which is accessable under Windows XP. Regards, Keith
Windows Vista does not officially support booting from a FAT32 drive, although it is technically possible. Vista supports FAT32 on Flash drives and hard drives, although it will not format a hard drive over 32 GB as FAT32.
How can i Format a Raw USB Flash Drive of 80 GB Capacity. Under Xp Message box showing unable to format
Did you format the drive to FAT32 bc if you don't then it will not show up.
you can use the command 'format f:' or if you want to format it to something different e.g. FAT32 you need to put the command 'format f: /fs:fat32'
