I don't think you can. I'm in the same dilemma. They make 'foldable' full box/frames in one.

You have to put them together, but they take the place of the box spring and the frame - since they are one unit.

I think I might get one.

There is also a 'foldable' box mattress. I think you have to google box spring and you should get some hits.
