It is a bacteria. To get rid of it, go buy Lotrimin, always put on clean underwear everyday and always use a clean towel to dry with. But, make sure you are absolutely and completely dry before you put your underwear on. Dampness creates the bacteria. Same as under the arms. This is what creates the bad odor. Forget boxers, wear briefs. Briefs give you lift and separation like a woman's bra and hinders sweating or dampness. I use a hair dryer at home to make sure I am dry down there.
