should just look in the bed of the truck, and there is a rubber bung about a foot in on the right hand side, just pop that bung, and then you can get to the "bolt" that holds the spare tire, put your socket or tire wrench on it, and spin it around till the spare tire drops down enough to get it, kind of like on an old chevy or Ford pickup, or even a Datsun or Toyota
Where is the jack ?
There isnt a spare tire on a ssr. If you want one you need a spare off of a envoy or trailblazer.
Check the tire pressure for all of the tires - including the spare! I could not get the light off in my RAV4 for months despite checking all 4 tires, however I never checked the spare. Once I properly inflated the spare tire, the light went off. I have no idea how it monitors the pressure in the spare, but somehow it does. A link to how the monitoring works on these vehicles: http://www.cars101.com/subaru/tiremonitor.html Basically, the valve stem has a sensor and wirelessly transmits the signal to the car. Even the spare has this type of valve stem.
Check the spare tire sensor.
Have you checked the spare tire yet? I hear that if the spare is too low the light will stay on.
You can get the spare tire off a 94 Chevy Silverado truck by reached under the rear bumper and turning the release knob. It will slowly lower the tire down until it can safely be removed from the mount.
my 2007 spare tire cover was removed just by gently tugging and sliding it off, helping the elastic stretch over the tire as I pulled.
Hi, The spare tire is underneath the rear of your Pacifica. However, to lower it, you will have to open the back hatch and open the floor compartment. In the middle of the compartment you will see a place where you have to fit the lug wrench onto. Then after it is fitted on, you will have to keep spinning the lug wrench to the left until the spare tire is lowered onto the ground. Then you will have to release the cable that lowered the spare tire down from the vehicle. Next, take the flat tire off and install the spare tire. Then take your flat tire to the nearest decent tire store or car garage and have them either fix the flat, or replace the tire if it is ruined. Then after you get the tire back, take the spare off and put the good tire back on again. Happy Traveling!
First of all check the spare tire pressure.
A tire jack & iron (wrench) should be tucked in the rear compartment (cargo area); pull the rubber plug off the spare tire eyelet; simply fit the elongated tire iron (wrench) to the spare tire eyelet located in the floor; fit the jack on the tire iron and turn counter-clockwise; the tire will begin to lower.
remove back covered area and use jack to reel tire down.
To remove the spare tire, you will need to have access to the space in the rear of your van where you may be storing items, or have folded in the third seat. If you lift up the carpeting, you will see the turnbuckle that allows you to lower the spare tire from the underside of your van.
It's a piece of sh it and won't come off
